Mamiku Tours

I live on my farm on the bank of the Mamiku River close to Mon Repos village. Mamiku valley is off the tourist track but has a wonderful variety of scenery without the walking being too strenuous. Many local tropical crops are grown in the valley and that makes an interesting tour in itself. There is also a very cute hidden waterfall to which I have made a track through the forest. Higher up, the valley merges into pristine rainforest. Not to forget the incredible Atlantic coastal scenery of Mon Repos peninsula.

Ravine Tours

There are many beautiful river valleys in Saint Lucia but the ravines of the south-west are particularly dramatic. The most stunning is River D'Orée, a deep chasm that passes from the sea to the rainforest. There is a lush varied vegetation on its steep banks and cliffs, and clear rockpools and waterfalls. The walking is quite easy and there are several exit points so trecks can vary from one hour to three hours. This river still flows in the dry season.

High Elevation Tours

These walks involve some strenous activity and with travel time will require an early start. You have to climb up steep slopes covered by cloud montane rainforest with huge tree ferns and down to deep, dark waterfalls but its worth the effort. The summits are more open as the strong winds and frequent mist stunt tree growth. A unique alpine flora covers these ridges and if the sun comes out, the views are spectacular. The climate is totally different from the coast with frequent gales and mist and rain. It actually feels cold up there on some days.
